About the

This is part of the Cloud First practice; the group is focused on helping clients design and build cloud native solutions. Embrace modern engineering practices such as hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud, digital decoupling, and event driven architectures.

As a cloud engineer, you will help clients modernise their application portfolios. You'll support everything from the scoping of an engagement to delivering the solution. This suits a hands-on architect with passion for software engineering and development, coaching teams, design, communication, and delivering complex solutions.

Primary job responsibilities:

• Work for clients across industry sectors - helping them turn their cloud strategy into reality.

• Help design and deliver transformative cloud solutions - from migrating legacy applications to the Cloud, to building innovative, new cloud-native applications.

• Continue to learn and grow - we actively encourage and support continuous learning and certification on all cloud service providers and adjacent technologies.

• Serve as a Cloud evangelist, educating customers on the value cloud can bring to transform their business.

• Design and deploy highly available, scalable, fault tolerant, reliable & secure enterprise applications.
  Assist with the implementation of cloud architectures, account structure, networks, security and deployment orchestration and automation.
  Containerise and deploy existing and new applications.

Required skills:

• Design and engineering background in Public Cloud

• Background with at least one cloud service provider, across a wide range of cloud services.

• Developing IaC using Terraform and/or any of the other cloud service provider tools.

• Knowledge of at least one scripting or compiled language such as Python, NodeJS and/or Golang.

• Developing complex automation to support Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches to software release management

• Container and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift.

• Systems engineering and software development skills, problem solving, root cause analysis and debugging skills.

Set yourself apart:

• A Minimum 2 year’s hands-on experience in engineering or implementing cloud-based solutions.

• Have managed teams and/or worked across multiple projects

• Hold industry relevant public cloud certifications on an Associate or Professional level for either AWS, Azure or GCP
